About Us

 

The priority at SoulRebeLex® is to offer a welcoming atmosphere and community for all who enter our doors- regardless of experience with yoga and fitness. Our focus at SoulRebeLex® is on Hatha (Sun/Moon Balance) yoga, which emphasizes a gentle approach of slow stretching, breathing exercises, and short meditations. Hatha yoga encourages the mind to focus on the present and to exclude anything external to the self during practice. While becoming stronger and more flexible is certainly an outcome of this type of yoga, proper alignment and learning how to relax are most certainly the goals.

With a holistic healing approach in mind, we are now pleased to offer other healing modalities such as Massage, Reiki, Biomat Therapy, Shiatsu, Foot Detoxing, Sound Healing, Tarot Readings and Workshops. Our healers & instructors are simply the best at their individual craft and we are honored to host these truly amazing people in our community space.

  • Introduction to YogaA Start From Scratch Class!! This class is perfect for those who are yoga-curious, but who have never taken the leap to try it. Come learn how your body structure supports movement in relation to gravity and non-gravity, and about the benefits of linking your breath to your movements through a gentle yoga practice. While geared toward beginners, or if it had been a while since you've taken a yoga class, this would be a great refresher for you. This class is taught using evidence-based movement, methods and modalities and will emphasize passive stretching, and include a mix of standing and sitting poses in sequences geared toward stress-reduction, release of tension, and calming the mind. We will work, together, through the 8 Limbs of Yoga, the biomechanics of the physical body, breath-work & meditation and learn to incorporate yoga into our daily lives, off of the mat.

  • Rest and RestoreIn Rest & Restore, we will utilize blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps for support. This class focuses on learning to relax the body in a way that promotes passive stretching. An emphasis is placed on breathing and stretching, as opposed to building up to extreme flexibility. This class is an excellent way to close out your week and prepare yourself for the weekend. This class is taught using evidence-based movement, methods and modalities.

  • Stress ReliefCome learn how your body structure supports movement in relation to gravity and non-gravity, and about the benefits of linking your breath to your movements through yoga practice. This class also emphasizes passive stretching, and includes a mix of standing and sitting poses in sequences geared toward stress-reduction, release of tension, and calming the mind. This class is taught using evidence-based movement, methods and modalities.

  • Love is My ReligionThis Hatha Flow class is set to island reggae music and is sure to improve your mood and your stamina. This class will focus on letting go of everything but love. This class is taught using evidence-based movement, methods and modalities.

  • Full Bloom FlowWe are planting seeds and we are ready to grow! Join me for this uplifting flow class filled with breathwork, meditation & strong standing poses. Let's tap into our roots so we can fully bloom.

  • Chair YogaThis gentle form of yoga is practiced sitting on a chair or using a chair for support during standing poses. Chair yoga helps increase flexibility, lung capacity, circulation and strength, improves balance, relieves stress and can help relieve joint pain. Chair yoga is especially suitable for those recovering from an injury, older adults, people with balance or coordination issues, and those with disabilities. This class incorporates breathing exercises, stretching, yoga postures, and final relaxation.

  • Psychic Sleep:  Psychic Sleep is rooted in a practice referred to as Yoga Nidra. This mindful meditation presents an opportunity for the the mind and the body (physical, emotional and energetic) to repair themselves by releasing tensions and stress on five different levels. This class is a sleep meditation class in which the benefits are felt best by relaxing & listening in a safe & comfortable space. Santosh will lead to the borderline of sleep through a relaxing, guided meditation in which the promotion of healing and rejuvenation is felt through the physical, mental, emotion and energetic body.
